Now you can buy Amazon Gift Card with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and more!

Have you been eager to spend your cryptocurrencies at Amazon.com for a long time? Are you tired of not being able to pay with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum or some other cryptocurrencies on Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it, or in some other Amazon store? The waiting is over!

Just recently I discovered the site named bitrefill.com. This is a site on which you can buy gift cards in more than 500 stores and other companies online, which can be used in their respective stores. For example, you can buy an Ebay gift card on Bitrefill which can be used to purchase products at Ebay in the USA. This requires you to live in the USA and to have an American Ebay account, but if that is something you have, you can easily spend your crypto-money to buy Ebay gift cards, which you later spend on Ebay.

In the same way, you can now buy Amazon gift cards on Bitrefill, which you then add to your Amazon account, which again can be used to purchase all the products you are interested in on Amazon.com, or in your own Amazon country.

It is important that you have to set the country on Bitrefill to the country in which you plan on buying the gift card. If you live in the USA and have an Amazon account on Amazon.com, make sure to select USA as your country and buy an Amazon Gift Card by clicking the Amazon logo in the eCommerce menu option.

How to buy an Amazon Gift Card on BitRefill – Step by Step

The first thing you need to do is to visit BitRefill. It is recommended to create an account, so register with your email address and you are ready to go.

After selecting Amazon.com (or your local Amazon store), select the size of the Amazon Gift card that you would like to purchase!

You can buy Amazon Gift Cards with value of 20 USD, 100 USD, 250 USD, 500 USD, and 1000 USD from Amazon.com. The values might be very different in other Amazon stores.
You can buy Amazon Gift Cards with value of 20 USD, 100 USD, 250 USD, 500 USD, and 1000 USD from Amazon.com. The values might be very different in other Amazon stores.

Once you have decided which amount your Amazon Gift Card should have, you will be taken to the payment site. Here you can select payment using the Lightning Network, you can pay with instant confirmation from Coinbase, or you can do a normal transfer with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin from your wallet to Bitrefill. The latter will take some more minutes, but it is still a fast and nice experience.

When the transfer has been made and the crypto-transfer has been confirmed, you will see a message like this on your screen, and you will also receive an email with the information about the Amazon Gift Card..

You can now copy the gift card code and go to your Amazon store where you redeem the gift card and you can use it during your next purchase already!

I have done it, and it is working perfectly. Isn’t this an awesome way of using your cryptocurrencies for buying Amazon products and more?

There are a couple of things you cannot buy with your Gift Card balance on Amazon. One such thing is the actual Amazon Prime subscription. You can only pay for this with a real payment card. Besides that, you can almost buy anything with your Gift Card balance, including an Amazon Kindle, TV-s, DVDs, clothes and so much more!

Are you ready to shop on Amazon with cryptocurrencies?

By now you should be ready to pay for your Amazon goods with cryptocurrencies. It isn’t a direct payment done with cryptocurrencies on Amazon, but instead, you purchase a gift card with cryptos on Bitrefill, and then head over to Amazon and add your gift card, and now you can use exactly the same amount of pay for whatever goods you want to purchase on Amazon. Isn’t that simply great?

Can I pay with other cryptocurrencies as well?

The main currencies supported on Bitrefill are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, and you also have the chance to pay directly with Litecoin/Ethereum/Bitcoin stored on Coinbase. But, they also have support for LocalBitcoins, so if that should serve you better – feel free to use the latter as your payment method.

It is worth knowing that if you pay with a normal transfer from your Bitcoin wallet, Ethereum wallet, Litecoin wallet, Dash wallet, Dogecoin wallet and so on, there is a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes from the time you start the order until the funds needs to be in place. In other words, be careful with your order if there are congestion on the network. But, the lightning network will help you get a faster transfer if that is needed. If you use the Ethereum network and you are worried, you can also use a higher GWEI to make sure that your transfer is taken care of as quickly as possible.

Again, I have tried it and I am really satisfied.

Do you have any experience paying for an Amazon Gift Card with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, or some other cryptocurrency? I would love to hear more about your experience!

Learn about blockchain on Amazon Prime

There are lots of movies and TV series to watch if you have an Amazon Prime subscription. Last week I wrote about how you can see Minecraft gameplay as well with your Prime subscription. But, did you know that you can also watch videos explaining you the blockchain technology?

I always have a good time visiting Amazon.com to find treasures included in my Amazon Prime subscription that I did not know about. Today, I did a quick search on “blockchain”, and to my surprise, I found several videos included with my Prime subscription.

blockchain on amazon prime

If you take a look at the picture above, you can see that there are three videos included on the topic of blockchain available for free streaming with your Prime subscription. Now, the first two videos last for about 30 minutes and will give you basic information on what the blockchain technology is about.

The third on the list, Mastering Bitcoin For Beginners: Learn How To Buy and Sell Bitcoin! Gain A Real Understanding Of Cryptocurrency, The Blockchain, Investing, Mining, Trading And Doing Business With Digital Money!, is a series consisting of 10 episodes, where each episode last 12 or 13 minutes. In the different episodes, you will learn more about the blockchain technology, about Bitcoin, how to get started with Bitcoin mining, how to store Bitcoin, how to trade with Bitcoin, how to accept Bitcoin with your business, and it also has an episode dealing with the future of cryptocurrencies.

Learn more about blockchain with Amazon Prime

Doesn’t this sound amazing? If you have little knowledge on the topic, these videos will give you a brilliant introduction. It is a common advice from people in the crypto industry to understand the technology behind it. Just purchasing Ethereum, Litecoin, and other coins because it is cool and because you dream of making money, is dangerous, but if you do some research and understand the technology behind it, you will stand on a much stronger foundation at once.

Can I pay with Bitcoin at Amazon from October 2017?

bitcoin payment at AmazonA recent newsletter from James Altucher is spreading like fire for one reason; in it he claims that Amazon might introduce Bitcoin payment as a method from October 2017.

Six months ago I had no clue who James Altucher was. I had never heard about it. But, then I got enthusiastic about Prime Reading and one of the first books I read was “Choose yourself,” a book written by James Altucher. In the book, Mr. Altucher shares stories from his own life and encourage people to choose themselves and to dare think outside the box. He is an entrepreneur himself and has started around 20 companies (so far).

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have gotten lots of negative attention in media lately, but if what James Altucher claims will turn real, that will be a giant leap forward in the life of Bitcoin (and cryptocurrencies in general). I dare not even think about how this will increase the value of Bitcoin and the other currencies, and it will also prove once and for all how cryptocurrencies are here to stay.

Is Amazon backing up these statements?

It doesn’t matter what James Altucher may write in a newsletter unless Amazon backs up the statements. So far Amazon has not given any official information or statement on this matter, meaning that we should not take this as a sure deal at all.  Personally, I do hope that Amazon will implement Bitcoin as a part of their payment system, but I have a feeling that it is kind of “too good to be true.”

What do you think?

Can I buy Bitcoin mining equipment at Amazon.com?

buy miner at AmazonYou can buy a whole lot of different products at Amazon.com, but can you buy the equipment you need to mine Bitcoin as well?

If you follow the news, you have probably read and heard a lot about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies lately. They are hot business for many, and the blockchain technology is getting more and more popular. But, what if you want to get yourself some cryptocurrency yourself using a miner? You can of course buy cryptocurrency yourself at any exchange online, but there is something special about actually mining and earning the coins yourself, based on your own work (or at least based on the miners work actually in your house).

So, let us say that you are located in the United States and want to mine Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash or maybe Ethereum. Can you buy mining equipment at Amazon.com that will let you mine these currencies in your very own home?

If you live outside the United States, read more about how to get products delivered to your home address abroad right here.

You need different equipment depending on what currencies you would like to mine. If you do a quick Amazon search for Bitcoin miner, you will find a whole lot of results. I would not suggest to anyone to buy those USB miners, because it will simply take ages before you even get close to earning anything. If you are serious about mining, then you will need to spend at least a 1000 USD (probably much more).

BE AWARE!

If you look at the Ethereum miners at Amazon, you will find that they are incredibly expensive, and they give you a very poor hashrate. You will in other words never earn back the amount of money you actually use to buy the equipment. If you are interested in Ethereum mining, buy yourself some AMD RX 470/570/580 cards and use those instead.

You can also buy the rig for the graphic cards, but you can also build one for yourself easily (and much cheaper).

Good luck with your mining!
