The White Queen on Amazon Prime

The White QueenYet another amazing TV series can now be seen on Amazon Prime, and like so much other good stuff, this is not available on Netflix! Yet another reason to go for Amazon Prime instead of Netflix – The White Queen!

The White Queen is a British television drama series which is based on the historical novel series of Philippa Gregory The Cousins’ War (The White Queen, The Red Queen and The Kingmaker’s Daughter). The first episode of the series was premiered in the United Kingdom in the summer of 2013. The main characters in the series are Elizabeth Woodville played by Rebecca Ferguson, Edward IV played by Max Irons, Margaret Beaufort played by Amanda Hale, Anne Neville played by Faye Marsay and Richard Duke of Gloucester played by Aneurin Bernard. The story of the White Queen starts in 1464 in England and shows the country which has been in a war for 9 years fighting for the throne of England and there is a major conflict and fights between the House of York and the House of Lancaster over the throne. The story focuses on three women: Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville who try everything to get close to the power with manipulating their surroundings. The central character of the novel White Queen is Elizabeth Woodville while the main character of The Red Queen is Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville is the central character of The Kingmaker’s Daughter. All the three women appears in the series and in the novels as well.

The White Queen television series was nominated for 3 Golden Globe Awards, 2 Primetime Emmy Awards and a People’s Choice Award as well. The White Queen generally got good reviews because it of the nice costumes, its cast and its spots.
