Are you in the mood for surprising someone with a gift card that can be redeemed and used at Amazon.com? Is there an easy way to buy an Amazon gift card for the USA without owning an Amazon.com account, and without any sort of American payment card available?
A gift-card is one of the nicest gifts you can give. It might not feel very personal, but it is still a practical and nice gift to give. Once a person has a gift card, they can use it on whatever they want to. And even better, sometimes a gift card can be used to pay for services you cannot pay for in the United States. For example, if you want to subscribe to CBS All Access, you need to have an American PayPal account or an American payment card. So, what can those living in Europe and on other continents do? They can buy a gift card and redeem it, and thus they can sign up and create a CBS All Access account.
Now, you can actually create an Amazon Prime account without an American payment card, but there are times when you still want to buy a gift card from Amazon.com without actually visiting the site. So, where can you easily buy a US Amazon Gift Card online?
Once you have visited the Gift Card Store, select the Amazon gift card and the value you are interested in. You can then go ahead and pay, and the gift card will be sent to your email address quickly afterward.
Now it is up to you… will you spend the value of the US Amazon Gift Card yourself, or will you give it to someone else? I would have no problem spending a 100 USD gift card on Amazon to buy some books, making a computer game, or some electronic device. But, I guess I have many friends who would love to get such a gift card as well. In other words, make up your mind… and once you are at it, maybe you should buy two gift cards instead?
Can I use the gift card to pay for Amazon Instant videos?
October 3rd test I just tried to buy an Amazon Instant Video without an American payment card, using my Gift Card balance and it worked. That looks promising! Give it a try yourself, it might actually work by now!
Enjoy buying your US Amazon Gift Card online. If you have any further comments or questions, use the comment field and share what’s on your mind.
Which company has most subscribers in the United States? Is it Amazon Prime, or is it Netflix? Here you will find the numbers, and if you react the same way we did, you will be surprised at what we discovered.
Netflix is the leading streaming service in the world, and it has more than 150,000,000 paying subscribers worldwide in 2019. That is a very big number, and for some reason, I always thought it meant that it was way bigger than Amazon Prime. But, that is when I understood that Amazon Prime is way more than just about streaming movies and TV shows. In fact, I believe most of the people subscribing to Amazon Prime in the USA do so in order to get faster shipping and early access to items on sale. It can clearly be seen that Amazon Prime members in the USA spay way more money on Amazon.com that those without a Prime membership. In other words, Amazon Prime isn’t only about streaming, but about an overall shopping experience (which includes streaming) for people who love to shop. And believe me, shopping is an even more popular activity than streaming. And again, if you combine a subscription that lets you both shop and stream, it has a big advantage to the subscription which only lets you stream.
To see which streaming provider has most subscribers, let us take a look at the numbers first.
How many people subscribe to Amazon Prime in the USA?
Based on the latest stats, more than 105,000,000 people in the USA have a subscription to Amazon Prime. That is just one crazy number, and after I read it, I had to think about why. It isn’t because of the Amazon original series, that is for sure. They are good, but they aren’t good enough to bring more than 100 million subscribers to the platform. In other words, it has got to do with the shopping opportunities and all the other stuff that comes with the Prime subscription.
Amazon doesn’t gladly give out these numbers, so there is some uncertainty about whether the 105 million number is the amount of global Amazon Prime subscribers or if the number is for the United States. Please take that into consideration before you keep on reading.
How many people subscribe to Netflix in the USA?
Based on numbers from mid-2019, Netflix currently has a bit more than 60,000,000 subscribers in the USA. The total number is 150 million people worldwide, but in the USA, the number is a bit more than 60 million people. As you can see, Amazon Prime doesn’t have twice as many subscribers, but they have 45,000,000 more subscribers than Netflix. That was a number that shocked me, and I have thought a lot about it.
Why is Amazon Prime more popular than Netflix in the USA?
I don’t really think it’s about popularity, but it is about what people need. And trust me, most of those people with a Netflix subscription probably own an Amazon Prime subscription to. And that is not only because of the streaming but because of the shopping opportunities and the chance to get faster shipping. More and more people do their shopping on Amazon. You can see it by the dash buttons which you can simply press, and an order is placed on Amazon without using any computers or mobile devices. Amazon is everywhere, and Amazon Prime makes it all easier.
There is, of course, a competition between the two providers, but I believe Netflix will never manage to get even close to Amazon Prime. If the latter was all about movies and TV shows, I believe they would lose to Netflix. But, the key to the success of Amazon Prime is that it is so much more than a streaming experience. It is an overall experience that people need to be happy (at least that is what they think).
Considering the fact that there are more than 105 million Amazon Prime subscription in the USA, it is no wonder why so many people come here to amazonprime.fromabroad.org every day to find out how they can stream Amazon Prime content during their time abroad. After all, I believe one can safely say that several hundred thousand Prime members are constantly outside the United States, and as a result, they will see the 4601 error message when they try to stream Amazon Prime content. Luckily, this website is here and here they can all find advice that will help them access Amazon Prime abroad.
In the same way, those 60,000,000 Netflix subscribers in the USA often get sad as they go abroad only to discover that their favorite shows cannot be streamed on Netflix at their present location. That is why I created netflix.fromabroad.org to help them find information on which VPN is worth using if they want to stream Netflix encrypted while accessing the content at other locations than where they are currently at.
When will the amount of Netflix and Amazon Prime subscribers start to decline?
The number of subscribers to both Netflix and Amazon Prime is growing every single day. Based on approximately 10 million new Amazon Prime subscribers in one year, it means that Amazon Prime gets about 27,000 new subscribers every day. Is this ever gonna stop?
I cannot see a decline coming, and even though Netflix has adjusted their prices several times in the last years, the subscribers seem to be faithful to the service. There is, of course, a limit considering the number of people living in the USA and how many of them are actually able to purchase a subscription. But, we are not thereby the limit yet, so I can easily see the growth will continue for some more years. But, stagnation will most likely come, either because of financial trouble or because our environment says stop and we simply cannot live the way we have used to live in the last years.
What do you think? Will both Amazon Prime and Netflix continue their steady growth? For how long do you believe the streaming providers will be able to keep up in the tempo they do now?
Would you like to know how many people subscribe to Amazon Prime in the United States? Do you have a guess? When I first created this page, the number was 10,000,000 people. Do you know how many people subscribe to Amazon Prime in the USA as of June 2019? You are about to know!
It is quite amazing to see that the number in June 2018 was 95,000,000 subscribers. That is a stunning number and considering that these all pay 10 USD per month (or more) for the service, it is amazing. But, the stagnation hasn’t started, because Amazon Prime seems to be growing and growing.
As a matter of fact… numbers from June 2019
The truth is, in June 2019, Amazon Prime in the United States had more than 105,000,000 subscribers. If all these numbers are correct, Amazon Prime had an increase of 10,000,000 subscribers in the USA in one year. That means, almost 30,000 new subscribers come to Amazon Prime every day (by average). That is just a crazy number!
There is no wonder why so many people come to this page to discover how they can watch Amazon Prime abroad. After all, with more than 105,000,000 subscribers, thousands and thousands of these reside outside the USA at all times, meaning that they need to find other ways to access Amazon Prime videos and content abroad.
What is even more interesting about these numbers is that an average Prime member spends 1400 USD on the platform every year. So, if they spend 150 USD on average paying for their Amazon Prime subscription, that is only 10% of the actual amount they spend on Amazon.com every single year.
How much did Amazon earn from Amazon Prime member subscriptions in 2018? Would you like to know how much money was paid to Amazon in Amazon Prime membership fees in 2018? The number is 14.2 billion U.S. dollars.
It can also be seen that Prime members spend more, maybe because they are Prime members, or maybe they are Prime members because they spend more… I am not sure about that. However, those shopping at Amazon.com without a Prime subscription spend 600 USD on the platform on average annually, which is a much lower amount than those with a Prime subscription.
There is a trend that Amazon customers do most of their shopping from Amazon. That is why many people order groceries and daily necessities from Amazon, leading to several orders from the online store per weak. That is a very different mentality compared to those who only visit Amazon when they want to buy a certain product or something like that.
When will the amount of Amazon Prime subscribers start to decrease?
There is no sign of decrease when it comes to Amazon Prime subscription yet. The general trend is that the biggest get bigger, and it gets harder and harder to come forth with a little store in this world.
I will pay attention to what’s going on and write more articles in the future!
Customers have been complaining about the 9068 error message on Amazon for a very long time. It is a streaming error that frequently shows up as users try to watch content from other providers on Amazon, often using a Roku or similar streaming devices.
So, what can you do about this? As you might know, there are easy fixes to other error messages on Amazon, like the VPN error messages and so. But, what is up with the 9068 error message?
Honestly about error 9068
The discussion has been going on about this error message in Amazon forums for a while, and there doesn’t seem to be any quick-fixes available at all. Some have said that casting the content to the TV makes things work (instead of watching them on the TV), it has been recommended to deregister the device you are using and the registering afterward, it has been recommended to do a factory reset on your device, and so on.
These are safe bets, and you can always try it. It is also useful to turn of your device and leave it off for a minute, before trying over again. If your error comes with the CBS application, try uninstalling it and reinstall it.
But to be honest, I don’t have a 100% fix. You can try to contact the Amazon support as they might have more insight, and hopefully, they will manage to help you.
If you have had the trouble and faced the error 9068 on Amazon and found a fix, please write a comment to let the rest of our visitors know about it.
Have you gotten the error message 1042 as you try to watch videos on Amazon.com? Does the error message tell you the following:
HTTP Proxy Not Supported Your device’s Internet connection is using an HTTP proxy which prevents playing your video. Please close or disable any proxy programs and try again. For further assistance, please contact Amazon Customer Service at www.amazon.com/videohelp and refer to error 1042.
Have you seen this message? What is the problem? Is there anything you can do about it?
If you get this error message and have absolutely no clue about what it means or what might cause it, you might have some trouble. Are you using your Internet connection at home, or are you using an Internet connection at a workplace, or maybe at a cafe, in a hotel, or somewhere else?
A first step is to check your IP address. Take a look at the result and see if it reflects your actual location. If it does, you better contact Amazon support. If you see a different place than your current location, you are most likely using a VPN or a proxy server that is blocked by Amazon. Maybe you don’t know about that, and if that is so, ask someone who knows more about computers and the network that you are using than you do.
Are you using a VPN or a proxy?
If you are using a VPN or a proxy, this is most likely causing the error. What is the solution to the problem? The solution is to use a VPN that works with Amazon, and that will let you stream the available content without the 1042 error message, nor any of the other annoying error messages (like the 4601 error).
Which VPN should you choose? I recommend that you use the VPN services of ExpressVPN. This is a brilliant VPN provider thas has worked without stop with Amazon Instant videos and Amazon Prime videos for years. They also work with different Netflix regions and popular streaming sites such as BBC, ITV, CBS, NBC, Fox and others, so it is great value.
There is no need to worry with ExpressVPN. After all, they have a 30-day full refund policy. In addition, if you sign up and purchase a 12-months subscription using the button above, you will get three extra months of usage for free!
Are you trying to watch Amazon videos abroad?
If you simply try to watch Amazon Prime videos abroad, you can also get the 1042 error message. If that is you, the solution is once more to use the VPN services of ExpressVPN. You can read more about streaming Amazon Prime abroad here at amazonprime.fromabroad.org.
I hope these instructions have helped you and that you will be able to watch Amazon Prime videos without the 1042 error message within a few minutes from now.

Are you thinking about whether or not PrivateVPN is the VPN provider you are going to use on your Fire TV? Or have you bought a VPN subscription with PrivateVPN, and now you wonder if you can use it on your Fire TV or on your Fire TV Stick as well?
Last week, I wanted to give PrivateVPN a try on my Fire TV Stick. It was really easy to install their application, and I quickly got it up and running. But, as I tried to log in with my username and password, I got this error message about an error. I had no clue what to do, so I contacted their support.
I got a very quick answer, and I discovered that I had a different VPN connection running. As a result, I couldn’t log in with PrivateVPN while I had a different VPN connection running. I quickly disconnected from the ExpressVPN server, logged in with PrivateVPN and connected.
Did PrivateVPN work well on the Fire TV?
To be honest, it worked perfectly. I could easily connect to any of their servers, and if I connected to a Netflix friendly server in Canada, I could just open the Netflix application and stream all the available content on Canadian Netflix.
In the same way, I could connect to an Amazon Prime friendly server in the USA and stream Amazon Prime content, and I could let the list go on.
PrivateVPN has good speeds on their servers, meaning that I didn’t experience much latency either using the service.
CyberghostVPN is another VPN that I have used with the Fire TV. They have a function that automatically connects to one of their VPN servers as the Fire TV comes to life and uses certain WiFi networks. This is useful if you always want to use a VPN, but to be honest, it isn’t really needed. At first, I thought I missed this function with PrivateVPN, but I really don’t. After all, I change VPN servers frequently (as I want to access different Netflix regions and so), and that is why I can just as well connect manually to a server in the country I am interested in.
In other words, I am very satisfied with my testing of the PrivateVPN service on my Amazon Fire TV Stick. I have also used it to watch FuboTV, Hulu, and some more services, and I didn’t have trouble at all.
One could say that the application isn’t the nicest out there. A lot could be done with it to make it look nicer. But, I would much rather have an ugly application that is working well, than a beautiful application that doesn’t really do the job.
I hope some of your questions have been answered in this article. If you have any further questions or comments, write them in the comment field. I will do my best to answer within 12 hours, at most 24 hours.
Have a wonderful day and enjoying watching content online on your Fire TV using the VPN services of PrivateVPN!
I hope you have lots of programs planned for September 2019, because Amazon Prime in the United States will not bring lots of content worth streaming. Curious about what’s coming to Amazon Prime Video in September? Check the full list here!
I guess I should be enthusiastic and spread the joys of owning an Amazon Prime subscription. But, as I looked through the list of what’s coming to Amazon Prime on September 2019, I simply couldn’t find many reasons to smile and to rejoice. So, I guess I have got to go with honest instead, and to be honest, September on Amazon Prime is really crappy.
Of course, the fact that Leslie Nielsen will come to Amazon Prime in September with his Naked Gun movies might be cool… but, we are in 2019, and it shouldn’t be a highlight when more than 20-year-old movies are added to a streaming platform. In the same way, the original Mad Max movies from the 80s will come to Amazon Prime, but should that really be a highlight?
If I should mention two more movies, it will be Face/Off and Event Horizon, both from 1997. These are awesome movies, and when I watched Event Horizon, I had trouble sleeping for a couple of days… it was really scary. Face/Off is a very different movie, but a truly brilliant one starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. It is really well made, and it is such a brilliant plot that I feel like watching it again thinking about the story and the plot of the movie.
Besides the mentioned movies, I would probably go to HBO or Netflix to watch some great content on those streaming services instead.

The final season of Suits is currently airing on USA Network. I am watching the new episodes weekly, and to be honest, it hasn’t really been a fantastic season so far. But, as I have just finished episode five (meaning that we are halfway), I have got to say that things are starting to heat up!
Unfortunately, it is impossible to stream Suits season 9 with your Amazon Prime subscription. A month ago, Suits season 8 was added to Amazon Prime, but we still have to wait for almost a year before the final season will be added to Amazon prime (hopefully). As a result, I am not streaming Suits season 9 on Amazon Prime, but instead, I stream Suits season 9 on Netflix. It is really convenient and easy, especially considering how the new episodes are added to Netflix only 24 hours after they have aired in the United States.
What makes Suits season 9 interesting?
There hasn’t been a lot of interesting events taking place in Suits season 9 so far, the way I see it. It almost feels like a really corrupt business, and the new character introduced to us as Faye Richardson is doing her best to clean things up. That ain’t easy, but it hasn’t been very interesting either. It should also be said that a lot of the plots and events have been boring.
But, as the fifth episode got to an end, I sat with the feeling that things are heating up, and I now look really forward to the upcoming episodes.
It is interesting to follow the relationship between Harvey and Donna (even though that seems to be solid and without much conflict), it is always a joy to watch the character of Louis Litt, and then you have the rest of the guys in the office.
As you probably know, Mike Ross also returns to Suits for the final season. He made a guest appearance in the fifth episode of season 9, and the rumors have it that he will return again for the ninth and the tenth episode. Whether or not that is so, I cannot confirm, but let us at least hope! I didn’t really like the way he appeared in the fifth episode, but I was still glad to have him back.
How will the Suits story end?
That is a question I do not have an answer to. I could easily imagine some super strange end in which the company shuts down and they all retire from their careers. Or maybe they all end up in prison for some reason? Or maybe they become “nice and clean” lawyers, accepted by Faye, and thus, they will be able to let the business run on as usual? And maybe it will end with Mike returning to work for the company again?
It is impossible to say, but I am more than interested enough to look forward to the upcoming episodes of Suits!
As I mentioned earlier, you cannot stream Suits season 9 on Amazon Prime, but if you want to stream one of the first 8 seasons of the show, follow these instructions to get access to Amazon Prime abroad.
Is Suits on Prime Video?
No, you cannot find Suits on Prime Video. The only way to stream it on Amazon is by owning an Amazon Prime subscription, or by manually buying the episodes or seasons.
Have you heard about Prime Video? Have you heard of Amazon Prime Video? Are these products the same product, or are there differences? If yes, what are the differences?
If you live in the United States and have an Amazon Prime membership, you will get access to a lot of movies and TV shows, and in addition, to Amazon Prime music, faster shipping as you shop, and several other products including Prime Reading, free photo storage and more. But, are the movies and TV shows available with the Amazon Prime membership in the United States the same as the movies and TV series you can watch with a Prime Video subscription in Europe or somewhere else?
Prime Video vs Amazon Prime Video?
First of all, it is important to notice that what you can stream with an Amazon Prime subscription will differ greatly between the countries in which such a subscription is available. In other words, the movies and TV shows available on Amazon Prime in the United States are not necessarily the same as those that you can stream with an Amazon Prime subscription in Germany or in the United Kingdom.
While you can use the same Netflix subscription all across the world, an Amazon Prime subscription can only be enjoyed in the actual country of your subscription. So, if you have an Amazon Prime subscription in the United States and go to the United Kingdom, you will not be able to stream the content available on Amazon Prime in the UK (like you would with Netflix). As a result, you will have to buy an Amazon Prime subscription in the UK to stream the content available there.
But, what will happen if you buy a Prime Video subscription in the Czech Republic? What will you be able to stream there?
What can you stream with a Prime Video subscription?
You will at all times be able to stream the original Amazon content with any Prime Video subscription. That is the main profile of Prime Video, meaning that it is, first of all, a platform for streaming the original Amazon content. This can also be streamed with any Amazon Prime subscription.
But, what about all the other movies and TV series available on Amazon Prime?
Based on my experience, you will only find a very small amount of movies and TV series available with a Prime Video subscription. There are some great movies and TV shows available, but in general, this is a platform all about the original Amazon content. That is also why the subscription price is much lower. Currently, you can buy a subscription with a locked price of 3 Euro per month for six months if you sign up for this service. That is less than half the price of an Amazon Prime subscription in Germany (currently costing 7,99 Euro per month).
As you probably understand, this also has to do with the limited amount of movies and TV shows actually available with the service, and also because there are no other “offers” coming together with the Prime Video subscription. This is all about streaming and nothing else!
Is Prime Video worth the money?
If your goal is to stream Amazon Original content, the answer is yes. In fact, it might be even better than an Amazon Prime subscription since the price is much lower. But, if you want to stream much more than just original Amazon content, you will probably end up disappointed at the poor variety of content available on Prime Video!
If you end up buying a Prime Video subscription, make sure to watch the popular and very good Amazon series The Boys, Jack Ryan, Hanna, and all the others!
What is your experience? I would love to hear your thoughts!
I have just watched the first episode of The Boys on Amazon. I didn’t know what to expect before the first episode, only that it was supposed to be about superheroes not only fighting on the good side. I watched the trailer as well, but I had a hard time really understanding what to expect based on the trailer. But, after watching one single episode, I know have a better grip on the story!
I thought The Boys would be about a group of superheroes doing good, but also having trouble with their own personalities. After watching the first episode on Amazon, I got to say that I was kind of correct. But, not entirely.
To my surprise, The Boys isn’t the title of those superheroes, but about a small group of some people actually going against the superheroes. But, why would they need to fight against them or go against the superheroes? Well, it seems as if they aren’t really as good as one would expect.
Hughie Campbell is one of the boys. We meet him at the start of the first episode as he stands with his girlfriend chatting on the street. Suddenly, A-Train (a superhero moving with superspeeds) runs by them and the girlfriend ends up dead after being “torn to pieces” by the superhero moving with superspeed. Hughie isn’t able to be at peace with this, and as he meets Billy Butcher, they decide to go for “The Seven” to get them down. But, it isn’t gonna be that easy.
At the same time, we also meet the brand new member of The Seven, Erin Moriarty, better known as Starlight. She comes with entirely pure intentions to the superhero-assembly, and she is greatly surprised to discover the corrupted morale among the people she had adored until she became one of them. Where will this take her in the coming episode? I don’t know yet!
Why The Boys surprised me (in a positive way)?
After watching the trailer, I didn’t feel like watching The Boys at all. It looked like a mess to me, but I took the time to watch the first episode. And to be honest, it threw me so many curveballs that it caught my attention, and actually made me curious about how this will continue from here.
Yes, the fact that it is so different makes it good. I still have seven more episodes to watch before I get to the end of season 1, and we already know that The Boys has been renewed for a second season. But, based on the pilot episode, this for sure looks good!
Where can you watch The Boys online?
If you have an Amazon Prime subscription, then stream it on Amazon Prime. If you have a Prime Video subscription, stream it on Prime Video. If you do not have either, you better get one of them. You can find out more on how to stream Amazon Prime videos abroad, and those instructions will also help you actually buy an Amazon Prime subscription in the United States.
I do not know of any other TV channels showing this Amazon show currently, so this is the way to watch it. There are some Amazon shows that you can stream on other platforms, but this is not one of them!
How did you like The Boys?
Have you seen the first episode? Have you seen several episodes? How did you like The Boys? I would love to hear your thoughts!
